Library

The Branch has an extensive library of books and journals available for borrowing by members at most meetings. These concentrate on more specialised and expensive books that most members are unlikely to buy for themselves.

The Branch also subscribed to the journals Cactus & Co and International Cactus Adventures. The journal of the Cactus and Succulent Society of America is also usually available courtesy of Tony Mace.

Seed bank

The Branch runs a seed bank. Packets of cactus and succulent seed are available for purchase by members at meetings at a low price and often containing more seeds per packet than other sources.

The seed is provided by members from plants in their own collection and the seed bank currently has around 100 varieties. Proceeds from seed sales are invested in further varieties from commercial sources to increase the range of species available. Donations to this seed bank are welcome.

Free books

The Branch frequently acquires books and journals on cacti and succulents from former members. There is often a box of these at meetings which are available either free or for a small donation to Branch funds.
